Imitation!

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?  Today's card is my imitation of an unknown, talented crafter on Pinterest!  I saw this card a few weeks ago on there, but the link doesn't work, so I can't give credit the original creator.  So, if you're out there, thanks for the card inspiration!

I loved idea of the little picket fence.  I used Wrap It Up for the fence.  After I cut it, I ran it through my Cuttlebug using a wood grain folder.  I inked the edges with brown chalk ink.  I adhered the fence using foam dots to make it stand out.

The flower petals and center are from Flower Shoppe.  I layered many of the flowers and inked all the edges in brown.  I stamped the sentiment and hand cut the pennant shape.

Here's what I did to the inside of the card.

That's it!  Super simple, huh?  My brain is now thinking of more fence card ideas.  I think it would be cute to cut the fence in different colors and do all kinds of flowers.  Although the card is quite simple, I am really fond of it.

I'm so glad you came to visit Pink and Paper today.  I know I've said it before, but it's the highlight of my day to get to share things with all of you.  Thanks for reading!

Blessings,
Cheryl

Candles!

Good morning to you all! I hope your Tuesday is going well so far.  Before I get to the card, I would like to say THANKS to all of you for your kind comments and responses to my post about my weight loss efforts.  It's great to hear from others and know I'm not alone in this struggle.  My heart was happy hearing from you guys!

Let's go Batty!

Ok, so I'm aware the title of this post is cheesy, but oh well - I like it!  Since Halloween is just a week away (Where has this year gone?), I thought I'd kick off a week of fun Halloween projects and cards.  I told the kids in my class at church they could come by my house while trick-or-treating next week if they want, so I decided to make up some goodie bags for them and for my niece and nephew.

I used the fit to page feature and cut this on a 12x12 sheet of paper using Life's A .  I love this long triangle box!  It's just fun.  I used some bat paper I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby last year.

I tied the top the box closed with the green ribbon.  The top cuts with two tiny holes so you can tie it shut or even attach a ribbon to make a handle.

I cut the scalloped circles from Elegant Edges.  I used an embossing pen to write the sentiment and then embossed it with white powder.  The little bat is a sticker by Sandylion from the dollar spot at Joann's.  Isn't he cute?  Only as a sticker though, not in real life!  I don't do bats.  Ick.

I am off to work now, so I wish you all a happy and peaceful Monday.  I'll be back soon with more Halloween fun!

Blessings,
Cheryl
