Font Friday - Give It Your Heart

I know I always say Happy Friday, but this week it's an EXTRA Happy Friday!  I am off next week, so today is my last day of work for 9 days!  Woohoo!  That makes it not just a Happy Friday, but a thrilling Friday for me.

I like this for a plain, simple font.  It's better than your normal fonts that come with Windows, but not swirly or girly, so you can still use it for most things.

I'm alive!

Hello all my long, lost Internet friends!  I am still alive, in case you were wondering...

I have thought of you all often, but haven't had the energy, nor time to post for a while.  As I posted a while back, things went a little crazy in our town a few months back.  My husband and I were very blessed to have a small amount of damage to our home, but his truck ended up being totaled by the tornado.  Long story short, it took forever for us to get our insurance money on the truck.  During that time, we were down to one car, which doesn't work out so well when you work different shifts that over lap!  The insurance company came up picked up his truck and the very next day, my car started messing up.  We found out it needed a new alternator, so then we were down to ZERO cars.  I am a worrier (as much I'm trying not to be...) so this threw me into major panic mode!  Thankfully, my dad let us borrow his car for a few days and fixed my alternator.  In the meantime, we were looking for a car to replace my hubby's truck.  As we learned after a couple of weeks, there wasn't much selection because so many people had to buy cars after all the storms we had.  

Over the last 3 weeks or so, I feel like all I've done is look online for cars and go to car dealerships (I think I'd rather have a root canal than deal with a car salesman).  After several frustrating weeks of no good deals, we went to Dallas yesterday and I came home with a new car! Woohoo!!  I have wanted to sit down and craft so many times but haven't really had time because in the evenings we were doing the car thing.  

Although I don't have a card yet to post, I am so excited to say that I plan to sit down and craft tomorrow.  Hallelujah!  I haven't touched my Cricut since before the tornado on May 20, so I'm having serious withdrawals.  I figured until then, I could try to get back to normal with Font Friday.

Font Friday - Outline Storm

Happy Friday!  I am sorta improvising today because I'm at my mom's house having our annual garage sale. And...I just remembered I didn't post Font Friday!  I went to my favorite font site and found a fun one for you really quick.

I normally try to show you a sample of it in a beautiful color, but today I had to grab the stock photo of the font.  I'm normally into curly, swirly fonts, but I thought this was really fun!  I don't have many non-girly fonts, so I may use this one alot.  You can download it HERE.

I'm off to sale more of my junk!  I decided to put a ton of my old paper pads, ink pads, punches, etc. out there and they sold like crazy.  I'm so excited because that  means I can get more new paper, right?

Fonts make me so happy.  I have no idea why, but I have been obsessed with handwriting and typography for as long as I can remember.  As a child, instead of drawing pictures, I would draw art with names and words, making the letters fancy and pretty.  I am sure that's when my pen obsession began as well...

Finally Font Friday - Xiomara

Oh my stars and stripes!  It's been For-Ever since I've posted!

How are you all on this fabulous Friday?  My work day is halfway over and I am thrilled about it.  I feel like the last few weeks have been way too busy and I'm ready for a calm weekend.  I must tell you all - I have had intentions - every single day - of sitting down to post and I would get busy and then my evening would be over.

As I'd mentioned a few weeks ago, I took on a new position at work, but was still doing my old job as well until someone was hired.  We finally hired someone, however, it's taking a long time to shift over all the duties.  I was telling my friend the other day that when I'm this busy at work, I just want to go home and not think, so I haven't been crafting or doing much besides housework and cooking and the basics.  BUT....I am happy to tell you all that as of a couple of days ago, I have officially handed over all my old duties and got my desk caught up for the first time since January!  It was a glorious day.  I'm very particular and can't work at a messy desk.  I had piles for months and now it's clean and organized.  I feel so much better!  My mind will not work clearly when there's mess all around me.  I become very scattered...

Anyway, That's where I've been.  I have a bunch of cards that are finally photographed and ready to post, but today is Font Friday, so here's your font:

Font Friday - Voluptate

Happy Friday my friends!  I realize I've been a stranger and almost feel the need to introduce myself to you all.... 

Wow!  What a busy few weeks I've had!  Every year, I have a major church commitment that takes a lot of time from mid January to mid February.  As soon as that was over, I had to start work on the conference that I plan every year for my second job.  This year, it was bigger than it's ever been and I ended up working on it every evening and weekend for about 3 weeks.  I was going to work for my regular 8 hours each day, then coming home and work 2-4 hours at night on the other job.  Needless to say, that combined with us still being short-staffed at my full time job caused me to be in a bit of a fog for a few weeks.  I can happily say that the conference is over for another year and I am actually going to get to craft this weekend!!  Woo hoo!!

Thanks so much to all of you who have stuck around and waited for me to return.  Hopefully I'm back to normal now.  I have several new cards and ideas to share with you, but first, let's get to the font...

Font Friday - Yummy Cupcakes!

TGIF!!  Thank God it's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone else feel that way?  It seems the last few weeks have been so crazy that I'm living for Fridays!  Or actually living for Saturday mornings and sleeping in...

Today's font is super fun and cute!  I just downloaded this a few days ago and have been using it like crazy.
