Smiley Pumpkin

Do you give cards for Halloween?  I never have before.  It just doesn't seem like one of those card holidays to me.  I found some great Halloween paper that I liked, so I decided I would make some cards and give them away this year...just because.  Since I'm a chicken and don't like scary things (no horror flicks for me), I made mine a cheerful Halloween card....

Black and White Card

Happy Friday!  I’m so glad it’s Friday, aren’t you?  It’s been a busy week and I am ready to sleep in.  I’ve had big, time consuming projects going on the last few weeks and I’m really looking forward to a lazy Saturday without a lot of stuff to do.

My sister-in-law ordered a couple of cards from me last week and I thought I’d share one with you today.  It’s really simple but I really like how it turned out.

love you card

I used paper by Colorbok from Wal-Mart.  I really like this paper.  It cuts really well in the Cricut and is cheap!

black love you

For the frame, I used Lacy Labels.  For those of you that own this cartridge, don’t you LOVE it!  It has the best shapes/frames.  If you don’t have it, I’d suggest putting it on your must have list.

On the frame, I stamped “Love You” and added some bling.  I cannot for the life of me remember where the stamp came from!

black love you insides

Here’s the inside of the card.  I just added a mat of the patterned paper and used a Martha Stewart border punch for the black scalloped border.

love you envelope

And, last, the envelope.  If I’m making cards that won’t be mailed, I like to make the envelope match. I just used some strips of paper and a white decorative seal by Martha Stewart.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you all have a great day on our countdown to the weekend!

Blessings,
Cheryl

You’re Tweet!

I found this cute stamp in the dollar bin at Michael’s and couldn’t wait to use it.  So, I made this card.  The paper is from a pack by Colorbok at Walmart.  I used Simply Charmed for the bird and Lacy Labels for the base of the card.

Happy {Belated} Valentine’s Day!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!  I apologize for the delayed post; I was swamped yesterday and forgot to get this posted.  Every year we host a large dinner at our church that I help plan and it was yesterday.  It went really well, but it’s a long day of cooking and decorating and hard work.

Now…onto the paper crafts!  I made valentines for the kids on my class at church and thought I’d share.  I made boxes based on the tutorial here.  These are super easy and super cute.  It was a ton of work, but my kids really like them, so it was well worth it!  I have tons of pictures, so here we go….

Flaunt it Fridays #9–Paper Pups

Hallelujah…it’s Friday again!  That means sleeping in and no work for the next couple of days…woo hoo!  It also means it’s time for another challenge at Flaunt it Fridays.  This week’s challenge was to use the cut of the cat and dog from the Paper Pups cart.  Since I don’t have that cart, I used Create A Critter for the animals, Doodlecharms for the heart and Lacy Labels for the card.  I welded the shadow feature for the card base with my Gypsy and made the little sparkles with Martha Stewart Glitter Glue (LOVE IT!!).  The sentiment is handwritten.  Be sure to head over to Flaunt it Fridays and see the great projects from the other designers.  We’d love for you to flaunt right along with us!!

MPS Challenge

I made this quick card for the My Pink Stamper challenge.  I used Live Simply for the hedgehog and Lacy Labels (love that cart!!) for the white scalloped mat.  The cardstock is all by Recollections.
