Star Birthday Card

Happy Birthday To You!  Happy Birthday To You!  You look like a monkey...and you smell like one too!
Did you ever sing that version of Happy Birthday as a child?  I still do, but only to my brother!  Actually I just thought of it because the card I'm posting was given to a 12 year old boy and it made me think of birthdays...and children...and then I had to burst into a song.  Anyway...

As you can see, I didn't have time to set up my nice light box when I took this picture.  I was running out the door, on the way to church to deliver the card, when I remembered that I hadn't taken a picture yet.  So, I sat down at my desk and snapped a quick one!

I used an old Mojo Monday sketch for the card.  Everything on the card is hand cut, except the star, which came from Plantin Schoolbook.  The paper is from Target.  In the office supply section, our Target has a small rack of patterned paper that has like 6 sheets of paper for a buck, so I picked up a few packs.

You can't tell very well from the picture, but I put the star on using an Action Wobble.  (Remember, if you need any Wobbles, click the SHOP tab at the top of the page to go to my store)  It was hilarious because I gave this to a young boy in my class at church.  We couldn't start our Bible lesson until all the kids had about 12 turns at wobbling the star!  Kids love these things!  (Who am I kidding - so do adults!)

This card is pretty simple, but I think the papers jazz it up a bit.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Check back soon for more fun projects!

Blessings,
Cheryl
