Spring Card

Spring has sprung!  For me that means allergies and tornado warnings.  What does it mean for you?  I like spring weather, not as much as winter or fall, but it certainly beats summer.  I despise being hot and would love to skip summer altogether…  Of course, summer probably wouldn’t be so bad if it didn’t get to 105+ degrees here!

This springy card was made using the Flower Shoppe cartridge.  The patterned paper is from the Rhapsody stack by Colorbok from Walmart.  For the leaves I used some cardstock by The Paper Studio.  The card was cut to fit in a #10 business envelope.  (Cut sizes are below)

The flowers and leaves are from Flower Shoppe.  I cut each flower shape several times and layered them on the leaves.  I added a button and some twine to the center.

Each flower was put on using an Action Wobble.  It's a pretty cool effect to have 3 flowers all wobbling at once.  It's super fun!  Ready for an action shot?

You knew I had to do it, didn't ya?  I am not good enough to get a picture of all 3 wobbling at once, sadly.  As you can see in the lower right corner, I stamped the sentiment in light blue ink.  Once it was done, I decided the ink was too light but had to either leave it or make the card all over again.  I left it!

It's still grand opening week, so that means it's time for another giveaway!

Today's giveaway is
6 Action Wobble Springs
&
a pack of buttons.

I am considering several additions to the store, so to enter the drawing, please leave me a comment telling me if you'd like to see ribbon (I'm looking at chevron patterned ribbon currently), buttons, refills for the ATG gun and/or solid color twine (as pictured above) added to my store.  Or none of the above, if you don't use those items.  I've already gotten many good suggestions and am working on those ideas as we speak.

Please remember to leave your contact information in your comment so I can reach you if you win!  Be sure to enter my other giveaways HERE and HERE.  You can shop HERE for Wobbles and Twine!

I will be drawing winners on Sunday, April 29, 2012 so be sure to get entered for a chance to win!

Blessings,
Cheryl

  1. great card again Cheryl!! yes, spring means allergies for me too and rain, but it rains all winter in Oregon so that is nothing new:-) I think ATG refills would be great in the store and I didn't know there was solid colored twine!

  3. Love the card, especially since you wobbled all 3 flowers and the paper is gorgeous! I too have the Flower Shoppe, but haven't utilized it yet... maybe that's next with Mother's Day and all.
As for summer, I live on the eastern half of Washington so our weather is much like yours, except the tornadoes! I love all the seasons, so I'm good cuz I can sneak inside to the air conditioned house!

  4. Love this card. I'm huge fan of the long business size cards. I don't know why I don't make more of them. I love that you action wobbled all 3 flowers. Very fun card using beautiful papers. -- I love the spring and the fall. I don't like it too hot and I don't like it too cold. :) I'm definitely not a fan of the tornadoes. We do get them here in Indiana but I don't think quite so much as you get them in your neck of the woods. As for adding to the store... If you've got a great price on the ATG refills, I'd definitely lean toward that one. :P
