Pink and Paper back....and all new!

Hi Everyone!  I hope this post finds you all well and enjoying 2014 so far.  It feels so strange to be posting again because it's been sooooooo stinkin' long since I've been here.

So, what have I been up to?  Alot, yet not alot, if that makes any sense at all.  I have been in a weird place and just really not being normal Cheryl.  As you all know from previous posts, last year was really rough.  Things in our life changed in May and didn't become normal again for a very long time; recently, to be exact.  I don't want to burden you all with all the junk, but to sum it up, we had financial, personal and emotional losses and stresses in our lives, our marriage and our jobs.  It seemed like it was just one thing after another without a break for month after month.  While I won't say it's all perfect now, or even mostly better, things are looking up and I have hope (and, more importantly, faith in God) that everything will be just fine.

Sooooo, that brings me to the land of Pink and Paper.  One of my favorite things in the world is sharing my creations and my life with all of you through Pink and Paper.  I have missed it so very much, but just haven't had the energy/gumption/creativity to keep it up for the last few months.  Well, I'm ready to come back, but with a few changes...

When I started this blog, it was to share my love of paper and the Cricut with you.  I have always enjoyed crafting of all kinds, but mainly focused on paper for the last few years.  I decided I was tired of only making cards, so I've started working on other projects of all kinds.  From this point forward, Pink and Paper will be an avenue for me to share all kinds of things with you including crafts, DIY projects, recipes, tips and anything else that I want to ramble about....or find on Pinterest!  I am still playing with paper and don't plan on stopping that anytime soon.  However, I have always wanted to learn to knit and quilt and build things and do DIY projects and make fancy cupcakes.... the list goes on and on.  And I will share all of my journey with you.

Over the next few months, I will be re-designing the blog but I can't wait that long to start posting, so that will come much sooner.  I've missed you all so much and thoroughly enjoy all the comments and emails that I've received from you all over the last few years.  I can't wait to get re-acquainted with each one of you and make many new friends.  Look for my first "new" post soon...
Hugs,
Cheryl

  2. Yes, I know what you mean when you say you've been up to "alot, but not alot". I often feel like that. And like you, I love paper crafting, but there are lot of others things I like to do or would like to do too. I can also relate to lacking the energy or gumption to create. Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and having a Youtube channel, it is very frustrating when this happens. If I don't create I have nothing to share. I so appreciated reading your post today. It was comforting to know I wasn't alone. I haven't posted on my blog since September, and was beginning to wonder if I should continue. I do post on my Youtube channel, but sometimes I go MIA there too. Anyway your post was reminder to me that there's always another day to start fresh. Right? I look forward to seeing what you have to share.

  4. Hi Sharron! I've missed you all as well. I often tell my hubby how much I miss "my virtual friends". Although we've never met, I really have missed communicating with you all!
