Update...and a card!

Hi Everyone!  What a crazy week in Oklahoma!  As you know from my last post, my town was hit by this devastating tornado, so most of us are displaced and scattered right now.

We were able to get into our neighborhood to grab some clothes and things from our home, and I was able to take three pictures before my camera battery died.

This is the mess beside our house, after we picked up a few large pieces.

Here's another shot of the front of our yard.

And this is the mess on my front door and my house.  The entire house is covered with a mixture of mud-trash-insulation gunk.  ICKY!

On a prettier note, I snapped this coming out of our hotel last night...

Aren't these flowers beautiful?  They have several pots of them at the entrance of the hotel we're staying in while we can't stay in our house.

On a crafty note, I thought I'd share a card with you all.

This card is kinda crazy.  I have had this paper forever and finally decided to use it.  I have a co-worker that loves bright colors, so I made this for her.  The paper is by K&Company.

The flower and leaves are from Cricut Artiste.  I outlined them with my white gel pen, then added a sparkly brad.  The orange scalloped border is from Elegant Edges.

The banner shape is from Cricut Artiste.  I stamped it using brown ink and stamp from Stampendous.

I don't have the measurements as they're on a paper in my unoccupied house!

I hope you all have a great weekend.

Blessings,
Cheryl

  1. Oh Cheryl, I had no idea you were in the tornado's path...sending thoughts and prayers to you and all the others that are trying to recover from the loss and destruction. I hope you can get back home soon.

I do love your card! Great colors, cute flower, love the white gel pen and sparkly brad. :)
