Hello Thursday is almost here! Woo hoo!!!!

Guess what folks? Hello Thursday is tomorrow! I just love seeing the new cricut cartridges coming out. I cannot wait to see what's new!

Also, if you haven't yet heard, I saw a sneak peek of a Black Friday ad for Walmart. The Cricut Lite carts will be $20.00 starting at 12:01am. Gotta start planning now....

All of this excitement PLUS a cold front has moved through Oklahoma and it's wonderful, chilly, fabulous weather here today. What more could I want??

Check back later as I'll have a couple of new birthday cards to post tonight.

Throwback Thursday Challenge

Emma over at My Creative Time has a weekly challenge to use older carts that don't get as much love and attention as the newer ones. This week's challenge was to make something with food using From My Kitchen. I don't own that cart, but was able to borrow it. I actually missed the deadline but luckily, she extended it, so I was able to finish this card and join the fun. Hope you like it!

Have a Dino-mite Birthday!!

I finally got Create a Critter and Simply Charmed (thanks to birthday money!!). I LOVE them! I made this silly birthday card for a guy at church that helps in our Children's ministry. It's quite silly for a grown man, but I had to try out these carts. He has a good sense of humor, so hopefully he'll like it! I don't like the black lining I did on the letters...but I'm too tired to re-do them. I'll know better next time. =) I used Smiley Cards for the actual card and Tags, Bags, Boxes and More for the white liner. The dinosaur and "dinomite" are from Create a Critter and the rest of the letters are from Pooh Font.

Fantabulous Cricut - Challenge #35

This is my first time to try a challenge over at the Fantabulous Cricut blog. The challenge was to make a card using a circle and green. I needed a thank you card and wanted to try out my new cart, Smiley Cards, so here it is! I used Smiley Cards for everything on the card - What a great cartridge!!

Simple Cards

My mom asked me to make a couple of cards. One for a family who recently lost a young relative and one for a friend who was just diagnosed with leukemia. Here's what I came up with.

I love this new stamp. I got it on clearance at Hobby Lobby.

Happy Fall!!

On Sunday, we had a little fall party at church in my Children's Church class. I made goodie bags for the kids and also wanted to make some for my faithful, wonderful helpers - They make my job much easier! I don't have any carts with cute, smiley pumpkins on them, so I decided to make my own using my Gypsy. I made the little cups from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and then used various shapes to create the pumpkins. I wrote the sentiment on there as I don't have any fall stamps.

Throwback Thursday Christmas Tag

Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge this week was to create a Christmas item of your choice using Celebrations. That was a bit tough....but here's what I came up with.

Blessings,

Happy Turkey Day Card

At the last minute, I created this card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge #48 . I just got Doodlecharms and Mickey Font in the mail so decided to use those. I had saved this idea in my Gypsy over the weekend, then got really sick last night. So, it's not quite what I wanted but I decided to at least try even though I was feeling crummy.
