Are you sick of seeing altered memo pads yet? This is the last one I'll show you...for now! I made quite a few of these for our retreat, then for my booth earlier this week. I decorated some larger pads for my booth with scripture stamps and a lot of bling, so I'll share those when I get the pictures off the camera.

Altered Memo Pads - #3
I'm back with another altered memo pad to share with you. I'm a memo pad making fool, I tell ya! Today, as you're reading this, I'm at my booth hopefully selling like crazy. I made tons of these pads to sell, as well as some other types that I'll share later. I think they're so much fun and adorably cute!

Altered Memo Pads - #2
As I metioned last week, we made altered memo pads as one of the crafts at our ladies retreat. I have several more to share with you, as I made quite a few examples. Next Monday and Tuesday, I will have a booth at a ministry conference. Hopefully, this is my last BIG project of this year (I'm ready for a break!). I am planning to make several of these using some scripture stamps and various other designs. I'll share those with you in a couple of weeks just to show a different design.

Altered Memo Pads - #1
Happy Monday to you all! I hope your week is off to a good start. It was surely hard to get out of bed this morning to that blaring alarm! Don't you think alarm clocks are one of the worst sound in the world?? I do. Especially at 6:00 am....
Since I taught two craft classes at our retreat last week, I thought I'd share some of our projects. One of our crafts was altered memo pads. I love these little cuties! I could make them all day. I made several styles as examples, so I'm going to share them with you over the next few days. Here's the first one...
(I took these shots in a big rush, so please ignore the poor lighting!) I was inspired to make these by Dawn Chau. You should check out her blog - She has some great ideas!
I posted detailed instructions for making these here.
For this memo pad, I began with a base of kraft cardstock cut at 3"x5". I added a patterned green mat (Recollections) cut at 2.75" x 4.5", then added the happy veggie paper (Cosmo Cricket) cut at 2.5" x 4.25". Don't those happy veggies make you want to buy healthy things?
I cut the polka dot paper (Cosmo Cricket) at 3" x 1" and the green mat (Recollections) at 3" x 1.5". I added some red twine (Pink & Paper) to make it look more snazzy.
I created the sentiment on kraft cardstock (Recollections) using my computer. I used a stamp I saw for inspiration. I then punched the sentiment using a 1.25" circle punch (The Paper Studio). I punched a green circle at 1.5" (EK Success punch) and a yellow circle (Cosmo Cricket) at 2" (The Paper Studio punch).
I'll be posting a few more memo pads over the next few days. Since I was making these kits for the ladies at retreat, I used the same basic pieces for each pad, just changing the paper and the layout. What do ya think?
Until next time,
Cheryl

Altered Notepad Tutorial
Happy Tuesday friends! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine went by way too fast, but otherwise it was nice. Since I had the day off yesterday, I worked on a project I'd been wanting to try for a while.

Scissors!
Happy, Happy Monday! I have to say that to convince myself because this is a Monday where I'd love to have just laid in bed and rested for a bit. That 6:00am alarm came way too early today. For all of you who got to sleep in this morning, I'm jealous!

Paper Clip Bookmarks
Howdy Folks! I am back with another project I made for teacher appreciation week.
I decided to make them all a set of paper clip bookmarks. Each set contained a butterfly, rolled flower and a regular flower in coordinating papers. I made several styles, so I have lots of pictures to share! I failed to take any pictures until they were packaged and ready to go, so please excuse the glare from the plastic packaging.
**I used a different paper pack for each set of clips. I am posting this from work on my lunch break and don't have the list with me. If you'd like to know about any specific paper, please leave me a comment and your email address and I will gladly respond with that information. I will post the cut sizes when I get home.**
This one is my favorite...I think. I keep changing my mind because I love them all! I got the paperclips from Staples and they are jumbo size. I chose gold instead of the traditional silver because they looked shinier. True story. I really like things that shine. I put each item on the clip with a glue dot. I will be doing a tutorial on these soon.
For each butterfly, I cut two sizes and adhered them together, then bent the top one to give it some dimension. The butterflies were cut from Gypsy Wanderings.
This is glitter paper so it's all sparkly!
I have mixed reviews on this set. I really like the "earthy" tones for a change. And I love the patterned paper on the flower on the right.
All the rolled flowers came from the Flower Shoppe cartridge. I basically just went down the line on the keypad and used a different flower for each set. I have never been so sick of rolling flowers in my life! Thank goodness I bought a quilling tool a while back because it really helped make it go faster.
The rolled flowers on this set were a big pain in the backside! Because I cut them so small, this one kept tearing on me. I like the way they look, though!
And, last but not least, the men's sets! There are only 3 male teachers and I really struggled with what kind of clip they could use. I honestly figure they'll never use these, but I didn't want to do pencils or crayons since they're on the other boxes I made. I really like how bright and fun they. I may need to make some for me...
I put each set of clips on a card I designed on my Gypsy using George and Basic Shapes, then put them in the clear bags and taped them shut on the back.
That's all, folks! I hope you're having a fabulous weekend.
Hugs,
Cheryl
