Mojo Monday 231

Wow...I've had a lot of posts this week!  So why not add one more, right?  I actually made a card based on this week's Mojo Monday sketch and have it ready in time to post it!  I made this based on the sketch #231:

Here's what I came up with...

All the paper for this card is from DCWV.  It came from a stack that I had totally forgotten I had!  I love it when you find something you've forgotten about!  The card measures 5" x 6.5".  The black mat was cut at 6" x 4.5".  The ivory patterned mat was cut at 5.75" x 4.25".

The flowers are from Flower Shoppe.  I cut them at 1.25", 1.5" and 1.75".  I added a glitter brad to the center.  The tag is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and was cut at 2.25".

The sentiment is a stamp from Verve.  I stamped it in black ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The scalloped circle came from Mini Monograms and was sized at 3".  After I cut it with my Cricut, I hand cut it in half.  I didn't have any wide black ribbon, so I added a strip of paper instead.

Per the sketch, I added 3 black pearls on the bottom of the pennant.

That's all for today!  Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Blessings,
Cheryl

My Pink Stamper Challenge

Last night, I decided to play along with the challenge over at My Pink Stamper.  I needed to make a birthday card for a little girl in my class, so I decided to make it for this challenge.

I used Mini Monograms for the base of the card; the scalloped square was cut on Real Dial Size at 5".  I added some stitching with my white gel pen.  Once I was finished, I wasn't sure if I love it or not....

For the main part of the card, I cut a piece of cardstock 3.75" x 7.50" and folded it to make the card.  I added the white mat (3.50"x 3.50"} and tied the ribbon.  The bee is from Paisley and was cut at 2.25".  I had fits with this little bee.  Don't you hate how sometimes your layers don't match up, even when you cut everything the same size with your Cricut?  As you can see, if you look closely, my yellow didn't want to line up with my black layer on the bee.  I added some bling to the flower and stamped Happy Birthday in pink.

This was a pretty simple card to make and I think it's perfect for a 9 year old girl. I love this bee from Paisley - I think she's super cute! (It was a "he" before I added eyelashes...ha ha)

Have a great Saturday!

Blessings,
Cheryl

Treats for Craft Fair

Here are more craft fair goodies...

These hold packs of breath mints (like Tic Tacs). I am working on some for the holidays and some that are just generic for friends. This is the first one I made.

These little guys are much cuter in real life! They are peppermint patty monsters. Between the two layers is a peppermint patty. I saw these made using punches, but I made them using my cricut.
These also have mint patties in them. I love this little spider! This was also an idea I saw made from punches.
Blessings,
