Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine did not go as planned, but turned out OK. I will be drawing the winners from last week's giveaways tonight and posting them tomorrow. I had hoped to have them posted last night but was unable to. Now, on to the card...
My sister-in-law is the manager of a jewelry store and asked if I would make some cards to use in their Mother's Day displays. This is one of them. She asked for bright colors, so I didn't use the traditional pastel colors that are usually seen on Mother's Day cards.
The card is A2 size. The patterned paper is a single sheet I bought at Michael's. I printed the sentiment from my computer using the Lavanderia font.
It's a little hard to see, but I inked the edges of the butterfly with black ink. As you can see, I blinged it up with some sparkles by Recollections. The details of the card are listed below.
Card Recipe:
Base - Black cardstock by Recollections, 4.25" x 5.5"
Butterfly mat - Patterned Recollections paper, 4" x 5.25"
Butterflies - Uptown Flair stack by The Paper Studio, cut from Gypsy Wanderings at 2.25" and 1"
Sentiment - Printed from computer using Lavanderia Font
Bling - Recollections
One last thing, I finally received my Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge in the mail. YIPPEE!! I forgot to order the scoring blade/housing with it, so that should be here tomorrow. I plan on doing several videos showing how to use the cartridge. If there's a specific cut you'd like to see me highlight or any questions I can answer about using the cartridge, leave me a comment and I'd be happy to oblige!
Be sure to check back tomorrow to see if you're the winner of any of the giveaways. I am in the process of checking into several more options for my new store, so watch for more specials and giveaways soon!
Blessings,
Cheryl

Fabulous card. This will look wonderful next to the jewelry. -- as for TBBM2, I'd love to see the shirt box pg 44 or the onesie box on pg 45. Thanks Cheryl. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the card Cheryl! I'm sure there are loadsof trendy mums out there that would appreciate a less traditional MD card! (Off to grab that font)!
